The 3C's annual Charity Promises Auction takes place this year on Wednesday 28 May AND Wednesday 4 June. The auction will take placed an at it's usual location on Calis promenade outside the Nil Bar, Azure Properties and Bambu Restaurant.




As the auction is now such a huge event we have decided to split the it over two nights this year, and hold them a week apart.  We hope that this will enable more people to attend and that it will not be such a late finish. Both auctions will contain a wide variety of Promises and the auction catalogues will make it very clear which lots are being auctioned on each night.



[We  have some great promises pledged for this very popular and important fundraising event which is the premier fundraising event of the 3C's year and all proceeds from the auction go directly to help the children in the local area.

Thanks to the generosity of our "pledgers" and our bidders and the expertise of our brilliant auctioneer Rimms, last years auction raised a record 17,500TL and it would be absolutely amazing if we could  equal or better this total in 2014.

 A list of the "promises" pledged so far follows and this is being added to on a regular basis as new "promises" come in.

If anyone would like to pledge a "promise" or donate an item for the auction  it is not too late. Please could you e-mail me via my profile or you can ring 0536 3739520. All "promises" will be gratefully accepted.

As in previous years, if you are unable to attend the auction and would like to bid for an item (or items ) you will be able to make e-mail commission bids both from Turkey and from the UK. Bidding instructions both for those attending on the night and for those wishing to make e-mail commission now follows:

BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS

Here are the details for bidding, both for those who are able to attend the auction and for those who are bidding by e-mail.

All of the Promises listed will be divided between the two auctions, Part 1  which takes place on Wednesday 28 May and  Part 2 which takes place on Wednesday  June 4.  A catalogue will be produced showing what is being auctioned at each auction and a copy of this list will also be published on CBF, prior to the first auction. Once the list for the first auction is produced any late entry Promises received will automatically feature in the second auction.

Bidding is now open for email Commission bids on ALL of the items listed, whether they feature in Auction 1 or 2.

The auction  is  great fun, a great way to grab a bargain and a great way to help make real changes to the lives of local children here in the Fethiye district.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING ON THE NIGHT

Those attending on the night wanting to make bids will be asked to complete a form on arrival at the restaurants giving your name address and contact details. You will then be provided with a "Bidding Number" card and an auction catalogue (cost 1TL) as in UK auctions.

You will also be able to pre-register and obtain a bidding card on the Tuesday afternoon before each auction when there will be an auction publicity stand in the Nil Restaurant from 2.00pm-4.00pm. You will also be able to pre-register during the viewing period 5.00 pm to 7.00 pm at the Bambu Restaurant on the day of each auction. You will not be able to bid unless you have a bidding card. This makes it easier both for the auctioneer and for administering the winning bids.

Money will be collected on the night where possible, "Promises" issued and official receipts given. For those unable to pay on the night, payment will be required within 7 days of the close of auction or the item will be withdrawn. In these cases the "Promise" will not be issued until the payment is received. We regret that we cannot accept payment by credit card.

For those bidding by e-mail, please e-mail me with your commission bid through my profile on this forum or send an e-mail to threecscharity@hotmail.com  Please advise us what you are bidding on,  your minimum bid and how much you are prepared to bid up to and our auctioneer will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid - just like a real auction or on e-bay.

Internet bids for items featuring in the first auction will be accepted up to 12 midnight Turkish time (10.00 pm English time) on the night of Tuesday 27 May when this facility will close.

Internet bids for items featuring in the second  auction will be accepted up to 12 midnight Turkish time (10.00 pm English time) on the night of Tuesday 3 June when this facility will close.

If there are duplicate Promises listed in both auctions (e.g. Beginners Dive Day) and you are unlucky in your bid in the first auction, we will automatically transfer your bid to the second auction. At this point you may wish to consider contacting us to increase your maximum bid.

All e-mail bids received will be acknowledged within 24 hours of receipt. If you are a winning bidder we will e-mail you the day following the auction and advise how much the item has cost you. It will not necessarily be your maximum bid. We will then advise you how to make your payment (there are different methods depending on whether you are in UK or Turkey). Payment will be required within 7 days of the auction or your bid will be void.

 You will receive a copy of your "Promise" signed by the person donating by e-mail giving full contact details of how to contact them and how to claim your promise as well as a receipt for your payment once the funds have cleared through our account. A hard copy of the "Promise form" will also be sent to you in UK by the next supporter who is returning to UK. We will also arrange for any physical goods to be delivered to you as and when this can be arranged.  Alternatively your winning lot will be held at the 3C’s shop until you are out on holiday - it is your choice.

As we will be continuing to add to the list right up to the auction, please revisit the list and make additional bids if you see anything else that you would like.

I hope that this clarifies the bidding system which has worked successfully for the last 7 auctions.

A pair of American costume jewellery earrings faux white and black diamonds dating  1950's with clip on screw backs. Made by Napier. 1 1/4" long by 1/2" across. Very good condition.  (not original box)
The Napier Jewellery Company established Massachusetts in 1875 From the 1920's the  Company were renowned  for it's geometric designs. Stamped on each

Nina Ricci of Paris Designer costume jewellery brooch decorated with a large pear shaped faux citrine in the centre and surrounded by 6 faux pearls and 18 smaller faux citrines all in a gold tone rope design setting. A pair of genuine sapphire earrings set in 9k gold.  The earrings were made by the London Diamond Company and come in the original box with an Certificate of Authenticity.  They are gold drops with a fan design at the base.  Set with green sapphires in the tops and two large ruby sapphires and 12 blue sapphires. Measuring 1 1/2" long. Beautiful condition they are immaculate - Jacqui Harvey




A pair of earrings from the Jacqui Kennedy Collection.  This collection is made by the American Company of Camrose & Kross and are the only company ever to have been allowed to reproduce Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy's jewellery.  All pieces are exact copies and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. These particular earrings are called the Waterfall Earrings and were worn by Jackie at the Official State Dinner in the Whitehouse for the Shah and Empress of Iran April 11th 1962.  A small description of her other jewellery and the event is also enclosed in the box.   The earrings are faux diamonds and are unique in the fact that they can be worn two ways, either with the long drop or by removing the drop and just having the small flowers at the top. They are made for pierced ears and measure 2" long.  They come in their original box with Certificate - Jacqui Harvey



A pair of costume jewellery earrings by the famous American fashion designer Kenneth Cole  of New York.  The are fabulous emerald cut faux canary yellow diamonds, surrounded by bright green faux emeralds,they measure one inch long .  They are clip earrings and have removable soft cushions on the backs.   Excellent condition.  This design is discontinued and no longer made by Cole, so collectable - Jacqui Harvey

Fethiye Airport Transfers AGAIN. Fantastic guys, how about one of the many other airport transfer companies that have gained huge business through CBF (at no cost to themselves - £0.00 over TEN YEARS!!) stump up a free transfer? One transfer every 10 years, and the silence, this year again, will be deafening.
