Actually for those in UK who find the lira rate difficult to work out (and also because the exchange rate is a bit of a moveable feast at the moment) it is not really a problem.

If it makes it easier for you,  just let us know what figure you want to start bidding at and what your maximum bid is, in either sterling or lira.  We then use the exchange rate applicable  at 9.00 am on the day before each auction to convert to lira for the auction itself.

Bidding on the night will be in lira only

Loads more promises added today, including the ever popular Sundial Hotel accommodation and dinner promise - good old Murat, he has donated this popular promise for the last few years

Another 30+ Promises added today including a voucher for 100 pounds worth of beauty treatments to be taken at Goldfinger Beauty Salon in Ovacik (kindly purchased and donated by our own Menthol) and an Arcelik microwave from Bekir at Eren Sport to name but a couple. Make sure you take a look.

Bidding is now open and there are only 5 days left to bid on items selected for the first auction.  As this list for the first auction will not be finalised until Sunday after the Spring Fair, better be safe than sorry and bid any way just in case you miss the item you are interested in.

We now have 180 great Promises listed which will be spread across both auctions.  The final list for the auction which takes place on Wednesday 28 May will be published on Monday.  All other items will feature in the second auction on Wednesday June 4.

We are taking e-mail commission bids on all of the items now, whether they are in Auction 1 or 2.


The bidding will close for items in Auction 1 at 12 midnight Tuesday 27 (Turkish time) 10.00 pm English time


There are some brilliant items donated so please take the time to browse the list. You could pick yourself up a real bargain!!!!!
