It seems unregistered mobile phones in turkey will no longer have access to the Turkish network does anyonr know how this affects us and what do we have to do to make sure we can still use our sim cards?

Andrew, this subject has been covered extensively just recently. If you go to the Search facility at the top of the page you should be able to find out a lot of info. The general concensus seems to be that no-one has had their phone cut off yet though!

The pin number is usually on the credit card sized piece of plastic you push the sim card out of. If you have lost that and have to get a new sim ....write it down. :)

Why don't you go back to your "other accomodation" and see if you can find the PIN  :) :o
