What a wonderfully honest man this is!!!  After visiting his shop this morning to pay for a couple of items I unfortunately had a 'blonde moment' and inadvertantly paid him almost 1000ytl too much!! After checking the amount twice he immediately explained that I had overpaid and even went to the trouble to count the overpayment and write it down for me. What a treasure he is! Would I have been informed in other shops in Fethiye ........ I think not!!!

Bekir gets awarded the 'Gold Star' in my book from now on!!!!

You will find plenty of previous posts on this forum regarding Bekir at Eren. Great shop and great person.

As for honesty though, I have generally found most people I have dealt with to be honest. i recall also reading previous posts about lost wallets backing this up

bekir is a very nice man and there are lots like him in turkey.
i nominate my gold award to the chap at the booking office of the calis boat taxi,who gave me my wallet with £800 and two credit cards after we dropped it.

Yes; while Bekir is an exceptional human being he is not exceptional in the honesty stakes, by which I mean many other shop keepers in Turkey would have responded in exactly the same way as he did. It really does feel safe to be there!
