Title: First Post from Milas
Post by: simon-in-milas on January 05, 2018, 11:19:55 AM
Hi everyone, and happy new year.

I just wanted to quickly introduce myself. I expect I will be checking in here every now and again to see what is going on. Forums are an essential and effective way of reaching out to others with a similar interests and I hope to be of value if I can.

We are in Milas, and do not get to visit Çaliş enough I am sorry to say. I hope this changes over the coming year.

Hi Simon, and welcome. We stayed with friends in Guluk (spelling?) last summer. Interesting to see a different part of Turkey. We are expecting to join them again this year with a break mid holiday of a few days in Calis, to show them the beauty of Fethiye and surrounding area.   :)

Hi

Thank for reply.

Yes, Güllük  :0)

It is becoming popular with expats. There is a lot of investment there with the promised marina project underway, and a mini marina along the bay. The junction on the Bodrum road by the airport is getting a flyover at long last. They may even finish this year, hopefully before your visit.

We really like the Fethiye area. One of the best areas on the coast IMHO.

Simon, they Have an apartment immediately across the road from the marina. It promises to be lovely when completed, but that said, I still prefer Fethiye!  :o
