Download Tapatalk and have CBF on that and other websites in Safari

But yes you can have more than one website active - press the huge + sign top right for a new tab.

H so do I still getting to grips with mine and am slowly mastering it!!Sadly I am not in love with it like I had imagined I was going to be so that was verrry upsetting after all the research and anticipation for "delivery day"... I now want to master getting some music on to mine so I can be "down with the kids" and plug earphones into it whilst listening to my favourite tunes  ;)good luck...

Karen I saw an iPad magazine in the window of WH Smith as I walked past today - I didn't see how much it was but I'm sure it would be brill for you at this stage. Don't give up with it, I hated Apple and saw the iPad as the most ridiculous invention ever. Now I love it for so many reasons.

For music just download iTunes - tell it where your music is on your computer and what you want on your iPad and it will transfer it all for you  :)

You can watch MOTD and have CBF open at the same time. Just watch it on your telly  :)

Download some films, then you can watch them when you come over to Turkey next,  makes the plane journey much better, but, no matter how much you turn up the sound on your earphones, you still here the T.C. announcements about the trolley coming around.

If it was "Ipad for beginners" it is £ 9.99.

I might buy it but I'm not sure I'll understand it  ;).

The weather thingie on mine doesn't seem to be working. Been showing a cloud since I got it.

Thanks for that - I'm sure it will be useful.

It will come as no surprise that I tried to get the facebook app but failed.

I will try again but what is the advantage of having that app.

:-[ :-[ :-[ (you'll all be seeing alot of these in the next few days months.

The Facebook app is useful because it lets you do the main FB things without having to wrestle with the website itself. Especially useful on small screens (phones).

Here is a free guide for you and Karen that you download from the appstore onto the iPad and assuming you can find it, read it on there: https://itunes.apple.com/gb/book/ipad-user-guide-for-ios-7/id709634245?mt=11

The kids bought my Mum a Samsung tablet for Christmas.

My daughter was elected as Tablet Tutor.

4 hours later and with copious notes and sketches with arrows pointing to buttons and labelled, my daughter emerged looking drained of colour and the will to live.

My Mum was smiling away brandishing her new toy in its specially bought cover and saying, 'I think I might pop inside an old pillow case to protect it. And don't I need a proper computer to charge it up again? Oh. Which one is the 'on' key again, Riana?'

Thank you Keith for the link for us two old "techies" or not! trying to get to grips with our i'pads  :)I will also look for the magazine in Smiths...
Today I have made some more progress and bought an album from i.tunes that I have wanted for a long time but could not find anywhere so was very happy with that, and also the sound on the i.pad is brilliant.... so for me it is baby steps...
H if you go to the apps store there are lots of free ones including facebook, I just sat one day and downloaded all the free apps that I thought I may use, that was really easy, you click on the app and I think it says install just click on that and there will be a little bar that slowly fills up the more it completes the download, if it is an app you have to pay for the price will be there...
I have also bought from Ebay a cover which I can stand the thing in and it came with one of those "pen" things, that makes it far easier as the i.pad does not keep turning itself around when I am holding it and also the "pen" thing is far better for me having long nails as I kept making mistakes when "tapping" things  ;)

If you want to be a complete anorak, download Flightradar24. When someone looks up at a plane in the sky and says "look at those lucky people, I wonder where they are going", you can whip out your iPad and tell them :D

My Granddaughter is  3 years old and has been a whizz with the iPad since she was two years old. It's really good for long car journeys as she sits in her seat at the back watching her favourite films and playing games.

That link was brilliant and I have got loads more apps from other people's choices, have also added Flightradar and think I will love that as I am a bit of an anorak with planes, something I never tire of is seeing planes taking off I just love it and it gives me a real buzz  :)
Now my next question is please is do you have to buy all your music from ITunes for the I-pad or is there a free App for music, I am having to stop myself keep buying loads and running up my credit card bill!!  ;)

Most of my music is from CDs that I've copied into iTunes. I only buy new music if I want anything else.

If your music is already on your PC then just add it to iTunes. Go to File -> Add Folder to Library (then show it where your music is on your PC) - it will import it all for you.

Stoop do you mean "rip" cds on to my computer and then put them in my library how on earth do I then get the music on to the I'pad eek!!
Keith my music is either on a memory stick or an mp3 player, it was on my last laptop but the I lost it when the hard drive went, can an mp3 or memory stick be plugged in to the I.pad, I don't want to go and blow the thing up or anything when touchwood I seem to be getting to grips with it now!!sorry for all the questions by the way... :-[

You can rip CDs with iTunes itself Karen - and also transfer/copy your memory stick or MP3 player tracks to your current laptop, then add to iTunes, and from there a sync of iTunes/iPad will put them all on the iPad.
