Title: Fuel prices
Post by: Ragus on June 11, 2011, 09:35:16 AM
Hi, can anyone tell me the current fuel prices in and around Calis. We are debating whether to hire a petrol or diesel car for our upcoming holiday.
Thanks.

Try hiring one that runs on LPG. It's far cheaper than petrol or diesel.

These things are so cheap in the UAE that if you want oil for your car engine you just pick up a can when you fill up at the petrol station. No charge, it really isn't worth asking money for. I remember working in Abu Dhabi, where the temperatures were causing great problems for painting water pipes. I suggested they spray them with water to cool them prior to painting. Mass horror on all faces. "You don't understand. It would be cheaper for us to spray them with petrol than with water".  [:o]

keith: Now paying 1.72 Dirham a litre for Special = 28.8p , which is cheaper than a 1 litre bottle of water. So nothing has changed here.
