You unlock the phone to accept a different sim card you dont unlock to the country, I have been unlocking phones for years and all mine work all over the world ( Providing they are tri band ).

Best phones to unlock are Nokia

A little tip for you all if you have a nokia phone on a vodafone contract 9
times out of ten, they are already unlocked so save yourself a few bob and try it yourself, simply take out vodafone sim and replace with any other sim if phone comes up with sim card airtime provider you are unlocked simple

Anyone know how to do it with a Sharp TM100. Its one of those slide up fronts?

Its not on the website mentioned earlier either.

legless, I also have a 3410, so if I can't get my Sharp one done, could you try to unlock my Nokia?

Trouble is, I cant email people via the link on their profile, so you would have to email me from mine and then I'll email you back if that makes sense?

Thanks,

Mark.

AAAAaaargh you've confused me it doesn't take much!! My samsung has an O2 PAYG sim, the same one that was in my Nokia that you so kindly grovel grovel helped me with.  So I think you are saying to try a different network card in the samsung and see if it works and if so it is unlocked???  If this is the case and even if it isn't (!) I'll try it tomorrow and report back, cheers m'dear

:D Thanks Shrek, but had a slight development...ordered 2 free sim cards off tinternet today, O2 PAYG on-line ones, usually a tenner.  Top up ten pounds a month, get 300 free texts, AND you get to keep the tenner, they don't take it off your balance, so I may have to start again once they arrive!
