I've seen the billboards for this and always thought it would be very tacky and amateur. Was persuaded it was good & that we should go and so glad we did.
Fantastic performers put their all into it for over 2 hours. Great costumes, music & humour.
And piping hot chicken & chips!
Next week is the last weekend and will feature the 'best of' the season.
If you haven't been & have the chance go, do it!

No thanks !! I will pass on that one. I was told , and its believable, that in recent years, so many establishments around Hisaronu pushed and plugged and promoted `The Talk of the Town` as a `must see` show.... and part of the plan was to kill off the interest in the`turkish evening` show over in Kaya village. Sadly it worked... everyone wanted to see `Blackpool like drag acts` instead of the very entertaining `turkish theme night shows` over in Kaya. Talk of the Town won eventually :(... and the premises of the Turkish night in Kaya is now derelict :(
Another backward step for the area.. very little `turkish` left around Hisaronu now :(

What a load of old tosh, if it closed down its because not enough people were interested in it.
Talk of the Town is a great show to go and see and have a great fun night out.
-
There was very little "turkish" in Hisaronu long before Talk of the Town was ever there.
-
I never saw an advert for a Turkish night in Kaya so perhaps the lack of advertising had something to do with it's demise?
Talk of the town show is an enjoyable and fun night out and I would recommend it.
-
how much is Talk of The Town?
-
110 Lira per couple, inc. Food and entertaiment, excellent value.

We went to the Turkish night in Kaya years ago and there were no premises. It was held out of doors and was very good but a completely different type of entertainment to the Talk of the Town. It was never advertised very much. It seems unfair to accuse a drag act of spoiling a Turkish night as they are such different types of entertainment.

I used to stay in Kaya every year and the Turkish night used to offend many locals because it was so incredibly noisy.
Maybe that's why it closed.
-
We go every year and take either our family or friends. We all love it and its such good value, where can you get transport, a show and food for £20. Thats not to say we dont support traditional turkish entertainment but hey ho variety is the spice of life.

Exactly my point. The `Turkish night` used to be advertised quite extensively around the area until about 2007/20008 . Then the advertising for it suddenly disappeared... and more and more `Talk of the Town` posters started surfacing everywhere . It was a well planned campaign to make the `Talk of the Town` the ONLY show around the area, no others. It worked.
This is Turkey remember where corruption and back handers are rife !!
It was a planned campaign.

Thats what you do when you start a business.!!! Advertise it to make money. The other place should have upped their game and done an advertising campaign as well. Just because it isnt your taste doesnt make it a bad place to go. We havent been because we had a business in Blackpool for twenty years and these sort of places are rife. I know that some of the Tour operators take people to The Talk of the coast and part of the reason it is always busy. Then again I wouldnt go to a traditionl Turkish night because I have been there done that and bought the T.Shirt. Each to his own.

I agree that Talk of the town is a fantastic night out. The performers are very professional and must work so hard to produce such polished acts. I also enjoy turkish nights but they perform in bars and hotels everywhere so maybe that is another reason that they closed in Kaya, just too many of the same thing. I will be back at talk of the town next year. Keep up the good work boys.

Strewth Sleuth none of us realised the women at the talk of the town had a secret undercover. ulterior plan. I thought one of them looked a bit shifty. Do you think they could be a bit jealous of Musthafa the belly dancer at the Turkish evening or maybe Musthafa the Elvis imposter or possibly Musthafa the Micheal jackson reincarnation. Strewth.

Sorry Hugh Shaw, but if your above comments were intended to be funny... they weren`t .. it was very poor humour. Your gonna have to do better than that to get a `smiley` out of me.
