Have to admit I had not heard this song before. Had a listen. All I can say is that I am glad we all have different tastes in music.  :)

Luckily worked abroad for most of my career and been here 10 years. Well that is my excuse anyway. Being a jazz fan has its rewards afterall. I must admit I do like Queens 'A winter tale' though. Perhaps there is hope for me yet!!:D

We have had Xmas songs playing on the radio all week at work and all agree that Fairytale of New York is one song you just don't get bored with  :)

How can you resist a song with lyrics like -

You're a bum you're a punk, You're an old slut on junk,
Lying there almost dead, on a drip in that bed,
You scumbag, you maggot, You cheap lousy faggot,
Happy Christmas your arse, I pray God it's our last.

Priceless !! :D

Fairytale is just the antidote you need to saccarine overdose at this time of year. Although I have to guiltily confess to preferring Slade's "Happy Christmas Everyone" after the assistance of a few glasses of this and that.
