Listed below are the intro's from some of my favourite songs performed by the original artist, can you name the song and the artist?
1 - Shall I tell you about my life?
2 - Dirty old river...
3 - You think we look pretty good together
4 - Like a fool I went and stayed too long
5 - I want a house with a pool, shorter hours at school
6 - I saw you out the other night
7 - I have seen the morning burn golden on the mountain
8 - In the deserts of Sudan
9 - I am the magnificent ... I'm backed by the shack of a soul boss most turnin, storming sound of soul
10 - I met a gin soaked bar room queen in Memphis
11 - Beware of his promises..Believe what I say
12 - Time takes a cigarette .. puts it in yer mouth
Reviewing the list again it does look like the over 50s will have a great advantage ... Still I didn't say it was going to be fair. ;)
And no googling, unless your under thirty.
Good luck

Looking good so far 8) but I'm still waiting on answers to intros 6, 7 and 11. Come on these are classic hits from different musical genres. :)

6 Roxette DFG Canvey Island 1975ish Gods own country (then):D:D Wilco's still going :o:D:D

Yep the great Doctor Feelgood - OK one down two to go ... 7 and 11. I am really surprised no one's got 7 yet, a genre classic, covered by many, but the original recording by the writer continues to be the best. And you won't get any more clues than that:D

7. Loving Him/Her/You was easier.
Willie Nelson, Skeeter Davis and kris Kristoffisan are people I have heard sing it.
