What a fantastic start to 6N. Well done Scotland! Wiped out by the Irish scrum in the first half but countered with far more imagination and accuracy with ball in hand. And then to come back after being battered in the second half - just great!

Sweet Chariots....Well done England after a tough game against the French, and well done Scotland. nearly through it away.
its going to be a tough six nations comp. this time.
-
England's "finishers" saved their bacon this time.
Most fortunate to beat what was, in truth, a vulnerable looking French side.
Things can only get better.........
However, 15 straight wins is pretty impressive - although I don't like this "winning ugly" any more than the England coach does.
Wales at the weekend with "them" at home.
A small wager, Colwyn? Say a fiver to a charity of our choice - and I'll give you the draw.
Scotland looked good for their win. Solid defence and looked pretty dangerous when going forward.

Fair enough, though I won't be in UK to watch the match!

Lucky man, Colwyn.
Hope you're somewhere warm.
I'll be at Brixham Rugby Club (coldest, windiest place in the world) hoping beyond hope that we put on a strong show.

The intention is to be on a plane flying to Madeira m'dear. I have one of those birthdays with a zero on the end that people make a big fuss about and Hilary insisted we had to do something to mark it.
-
Enjoy, ma biddy.
Coincidentally, that's my chosen destination for early next year - having won the free flight from Jet2.
Going in February 2018. I've booked Hotel Sao Francisco but not a clue what or where that means!
Taking pot luck. Never been to Madeira.
I'll seek your advice regarding places to visit.
However - it is Calis in May this year. I had withdrawal symptoms.

Thank you.

Another fantastic 80+minutes of skill and sheer brutal endeavour.
The prima donas of the Premier League and any other football leagues across the world would do well to watch it, if only for the acceptance of the referee's decisions.
Wonderful stuff.

I got up feeling bruised and battered this morning just from watching it. I don't think I've seen such an intense, non-stop test match before. How it ended up 22-9 I don't know: it certainly seemed more finger-nail bitingly close than that to me.

Very impressive performance by England. Must be the best they have played this season. Both this and the game in Rome were too one-sided to be exciting for the neutral observer. One non-rugby thing I found pointed up again in the coverage - how much better the BBC performance is. When someone is throwing in at an important line-out the ITV live editor is likely to be showing a flashback to the try ten minutes ago; a line break is missed because we are watching a replacement (finisher!) warming up; when there is a rolling maul halted 15 metres from the line no-one thinks to pan back so we can see the unmarked players shouting for the ball on the opposite wing where the ball should be going. Amateurish.

Easy, I watched how the BBC do it.

Agreed, Colwyn.
However, Sky (to which I do not currently subscribe) would have had cameras everywhere (in the ball and the referee's pocket if possible) would have everything covered.
Not sure about commentators but camerqa coverage would have been immense.
I fear that I may have to part with some pennies to get Sky for this and other major sports (cricket particularly) in the future.
Rugby's fast becoming a 23 a side game.
