Title: Shower Cubicles & Fitting
Post by: IanK on April 27, 2019, 16:31:43 PM
Hi all,

hoping to replace our shower cubicles soon so can anyone give me guidance on best places to look for supply & fit please.

I did do a search but the result was from 2013 so may not be relevant today.

Thanks in advance

Ian

I used the bath shop just down from Homebase in fethiye . They gave me the telephone no for a plumber that was recommended.

I bought a cubicle from EGG Ceramic a few doors up from Homeprof.
A couple of bits of advice I wish I had known before I bought;
1 don't assume you will get a cubicle that will fit your existing shower base like I did, I ended up buying a new base as well.
2 The shower cubicles do not come with instructions in the box nor on line. It is assumed that you or your plumber will know how to put it together.

On the plus side I got a decent glass quadrant cubicle for about £75 and a base for about £25.

Thanks both,

I'll take a look in the shops near Homeprof.

When we changed from a square, flimsy, plastic and aluminium cubicle to a toughened glass quadrant one we did away with the base. Stepping in and out is now much easier and safer.

We got rid of the cubicle altogether and basically ended up with a wet room, which works far better
