We used Dolphin movers. They do door-to-door. Pack yourself or they do everything. They use a company called Soyer to move your stuff from Izmir to here. They will also come to your house (free of charge)and estimate the cubic footage of your stuff. Insurance is a pain in the a*se - we used the crossed-fingers method. !!!

I work in the freight industry and dealing with Turkish customs can be a bloody nightmare - grease my palm and that type of thing does go on. It is difficult to find a haulage company to take personal effects too so best to go with a company like sumerman.
But by all means if you want to get some ideas of prices for 20' & 40' containers, then here are a few links.
