Another Introduction
« on: February 15, 2010, 21:32:24 PM »
Hello,
We are in the process of booking a two week break in Calis Beach in July 2010. I and my wife have visited Turkey before, my wife several times the last being in 2007.
We would be very grateful for any information/advice which would enhance our holiday. We are a family of 2 adults and a 9 yr old boy and it would be really helpfull to know the better restaurants and the prices we would expect to pay for food and drink. Our son William is also interested in the water park so info regarding this would also be helpfull.
Thanks, Gary, Jo and William.

Hi Gary

Try this link for an idea of "better" restaurants. Prices maybe 20 lira for a main course.

{A Link to an old CBF topic was here - no longer available}31794&whichpage=1&SearchTerms=Best,restaurant,2009

I don't drink so someone else will have to help you with those prices and the water park.

Thanks Highlander for the above link.

I am finding the site very interesting, just been getting an idea of Airport Transfer, looks like approx £65 return with a usefull link.

We don't know the exact location of our apartment at this time but the one we favour states it is towards the quiet end of Calis Beach approx 20 minutes walk to the centre of Calis. Would this walk be along a quiet road, is it safe.

If you don't mind posting the name of the place you are staying you will hopefully get lots of replies.

Forgive me for maybe stating the obvious but there is a promenade along the entire length of the beach and you may be able to walk from your place to the centre of Calis.

I would have posted the name Highlander but we don't know it at this stage, all we have to go on are photo's and a description on the web. As soon as we know the name i'll post it.
I know of the promenade so hopefully you will be right and it will run close to our apartment.

Gary

I took the photograph early one morning just before I set off on my daily run to Fethiye
to collect some fresh bread for the breakfast I normally prepare before Brenda wakens.

Hope you have a wonderful holiday.
