We are also looking to buy in Calis next year and will also be making our first visit in April.  I have requested copies of articles detailed in Homes Overseas mag re Aug/Oct 04 and hope they provide useful info on the Country and economy. Found this site most interesting though.

Were just going through the buying process at the moment

Its a bit daunting but we know we have brought the right place and property

As for letting, bit mixed on that one. I wouldn't rely on rental income to pay any loan (others may disagree though)

I bought a house in Calis earlier this year (it all went through in September). I found the process really easy but then I had a really helpful & trustworthy agent.
