Well As they were from the Esnaf they were only really informative about how the Esnaf runs alongside the SSK, some interesting points though.were made and people went away with useful information.
Its been stated elsewhere that those who have SSK and opt to go to a private hospital for treatment, they will pay 20 percent of the cost
This is not strictly true, the Government pays a set fee to the private hospital depending on the treatment, and you pay the difference between the Government fee or allowance and a Private hospitals cost. So for example if you had a treatment and the Government values it at 200 tl and the procedure in the Private place is 400tl, the Government pay 200tl and you pay the other 200tl. Also something I didnt know is that when you call an emergency ambulance the initial care in A and E is free and you can specify which hospital you want to be taken to, although they will take you to the nearest if its a life threatening emergency
We hope to have someone at the next Coffee Morning who is more knowledgeable about the SSK itself, as there is still a lot of confusion around! Anyway I will post on here the time and the outcome of that!
