Abba Mia Night
« on: October 18, 2012, 20:57:23 PM »
The first themed event of the 3C’s winter fundraising calendar takes place on Saturday 24 November when they stage an “Abba Mia” night.

This fun evening, a mix of the popular Mamma Mia blockbuster film and Abba hits - will take place at the Ceren Hotel on Çalış seafront.  The ticket price of 20TL will buy you a buffet meal of mezes, salad, chicken, chips, meatballs and bolognaise plus desert as well as an evenings entertainment dancing the night away to DJ Gordon. The 3C’s crew may even be persuaded to provide their own unique "entertainment" on the night.   5 TL from each ticket will go to the 3C’s charity which helps to fund projects for local children.

So come on you dancing queens, get your dancing shoes on and party the night away to the sounds of Abba and the 70’s and help raise money for the Children’s charity,  Tickets will go on sale at the 3Cs charity shop at Eyna restaurant, Çalış seafront  later next  week or you can ring 0536 373 9520 to reserve.

It was one of our best!!  Dance floor jam packed all nite, lovely food, fab entertainment and music.  Orhan and his staff always do us proud and enjoy the night as much as us.  The carbaret went off without a hitch and much thanks to Nigel who did the choreography.  Thanks to all who came and supported us and hope you enjoyed it too.  We also raised a 100TL for the signed first edition of Paul Wynters new album.  For each DVD sold 5TL will go the 3C's, makes a perfect Xmas presie. If you want to see a repeat performance of our carbaret we shall be at the Kismet Bar next Saturday 1st December for the album launch.

Quite agree - it was a brilliant night and a big thanks to everyone who helped to make it a huge success.  Also thanks to all those who got into the spirit of the evening and dressed up - there were some great Abba costumes to be seen. Particular thanks to Nigel for the choreography, our dancers of course, Gordon and Shelly for the music, Orhan and staff at the Ceren who did brilliantly and to Paul Wynter (Ian) of Kismet bar who as Busybee has already said, gave us the first uncut copy of his new cd to auction. He is also donating 5TL from every cd sold to our charity.

I will announce the final figure raised on the night in the next couple of days once we have done the sums. I am now just waiting for people to start putting on the pictures as unfortunately the memory card on our camera ran out of space half an hour into the event!

The 3C's are now busy planning our next evening theme event - but lips are sealed on this one - you will have to wait to find out!

In the meantime we have a Christmas Fair to organise - and it is going to be HUGE!  This takes place 2 weeks today along Calis seafront  so please make sure you have Sunday 9 December in your diary.
