"Chill Out Calis" - tickets now on sale

The 3C’s crew invite you to kick off your flip flops, and welcome in the summer at their “Chill Out Çalış” Beach Party and BBQ which is being held at Guvens Beach Restaurant in Çalış on Tuesday 21 May, as part of the FETAV Fest week of celebrations.

The laid back family fun event, organised by Çalış Children’s Charity starts in the afternoon with beach games and boule, with live summer sounds being provided by popular Caribbean, Reggae and blues singer and musician, Bert.  There will also be a beach shack sale of beachwear and other “sun sea and sand” items from the 3C’s charity shop and Guvens will be running a beachside burger bar (with 1TL from each burger/hotdog being donated to the 3C’s charity).

In the evening Guvens will be providing a delicious BBQ and there will be a great variety of entertainment to suit all tastes.  DJ Gordon will be getting into the groove with hits from summers past; there will be fire dancers, Turkish dancers as well as a traditional   belly dancer. There may also be a performance from a familiar "international singing star" who is hoping to fly in just for the festivities (watch this space!).  The evening will finish with fireworks.

Located at the end of the Çalış dolmus route, easily accessible Guvens Restaurant, located on the edge of the beach with lots of free sunbeds and parasols, cooling breezes, stunning sunsets and views to Red Island, is a lovely venue for the event and owners and big 3C’s supporters, Guven and Carole are the perfect hosts.   Tickets for the evening BBQ cost 20TL (5TL which is being donated to the 3C’s charity) and go on sale from later today 10 April. These are available from Guven’s restaurant, the 3C’s charity shop, Eyna Restaurant, and Nil Bar in Calis and from Kismet Bar in Fethiye.  Or you can ring 0536 373 9520 (English) or 0534 648 9679 (Turkish/German) to reserve tickets and arrange collection.

So if you fancy an afternoon and evening of good sounds, good company, good food and good entertainment be sure to be there at Çalış Children’s Charity’s “Chill Out Çalış”

Carole and Guven are pulling out the stops to make this a realy successful night both for Calis and for the 3C's and we hope you will all support such a lovely couple and such a good cause

The 3C's are delighted to announce that international singing star and Calis Carnival concert favourite, "Pavarotti"otherwise known as British tenor Tony St. John, will be appearing during the evening at our "Chill Out Calis" Beach BBQ on Tuesday 21 May.



Tony who is flying in to take part in the big free FETAV Fest concert on Fethiye Square on 24 May, has kindly agreed to perform at the bbq. Not only is Tony a Pavarotti look-a-like, he is also one of the best Pavarotti sound-a-likes around today. Complete with the voice, the looks and the extra padding, he has been performing his tribute to the great Pavarotti for 15 years and he has performed all over the world and has starred in many leading roles in musicals and opera and has performed with Placido Domingo in a Covent Garden production of Tosca. He has also sung to capacity crowds on match days at Wembley Stadium and The Stadium of Light as well as on adverts advertising Italian products.  Three years ago at the Calis Carnival concert his rendition of Nesun Dorma brought the audience to it's feet in a standing ovation.

And as if that isn't enough, during the afternoon we have a live performance of laid back blues, reggae and caribbean sounds by talented local musician Bert.

Both "Pavarotti" and Bert are very kindly performing for free for our charity.

There will also be traditional Turkish dancing, fire dancers, a belly dancer and fireworks so it should be a great event.
