How Do I?

How do I add a smiley when I reply with quote?  When I use this facility the formatting features and smileys are not visible.

Ah yes

Sadly it isn't easy - you can reply with quote then edit it (as the smileys aren't there when you reply with quote) or you can do what I do, learn a few keys for them - : + ) = smiley, : + ( = sad etc and just type them instead of clicking them

Guess I did something wrong - have tried again with spaces this time : + ).  Still not right I think!

Tried again using edit  Success I think. Ta.

Leave out the plus Marggie.  That usually works on faceache.

try   hold the shift key and then press the 2dots and on the 2nd keys down there is a  ) for a smiley and a ( for sad  good luck
