3C's 2013 Fundraising - How much we raised
« on: October 23, 2013, 05:56:26 AM »
Following yesterdays 3C's Annual General Meeting, we are now peased to announce that we netted a record figure for the children during our 2013 fundraising year.

The total net figure raised was

87,374.09 TL
(we must not forget the 9 kurus as it could make all the difference   ;))

This net total  is 12,000TL more than we raised last year.

The 2013 Annual report has now been approved and will be published shortly on our new website (more details on this to follow soon) and the report will also be available in hard copy shortly.  The 33 page  report details all of our events and projects with lots of great pictures and provides a full financial statement giving a  breakdown of where every kurus has been raised or spent.  A big thanks to our treasurer Liz101 for a great set of accounts.

Finally a huge, huge thanks to all of our supporters who have helped us to achieve such a great result.

Please have a look at the annual report once it's uploaded to the website. It's a quality document and has been produced with many hours of hard work by Chrissie on the descriptive side and Liz on the financial side. Every Kurus raised is listed in the financial accounts along with everything spent supporting local children.

Peter gave an excellent summation of the year at the AGM earlier this week where he outlined his satisfaction that the charity was now following a strategy in declining a number of requests for things like laptops and air cons which should be supplied by the Belidiye and focussing more on enriching the lives of disabled individuals and groups of children.

The charity now funds annual bursaries for more than a dozen young adults to attend university, funds a full time care assistant to assist the teacher in a class of severely disabled children, they are looking to fund an teacher for autistic children who attend the Patlancik disabled centre, the work with children requiring hearing aids continues as does the support for the children moved from the orphanage into the fabulous new 'Love Houses'

Chris & I are currently taking a short sabbatical from the charity but it doesn't stop us recognising the work of this extraordinary group of people and to say a big thank you to all on CBF who have helped the charity reach not only this record year of fundraising but also a record year of expenditure on much needed projects.

Well done 3Cs and CBF. a truly great partnership
