They'll never last.
« on: January 27, 2014, 20:53:52 PM »
When I was in my teens/ twenties I lost count of the adults that said the rock and pop stars of the day would never last.

Fast forward 50 years.  Last nights Grammy Awards Nominees.

Paul McCartney
Black Sabbath
Rolling Stones
David Bowie
Led Zeppelin
Wings
Herb Alpert
Kenny Rogers
Dolly Parton
Ravi Shankar

Adults, What do they know.         :)

The highlight of the night was seeing the two remaining Beatles together for maybe the last time, as a totally dedicated Beatles fan from the age of 13, who queued for many hours to get tickets to see them, who bought every single, e.p. and album they ever made, including the Wings stuff when they split this was totally magic!

Macca and Ringo are supposed to be doing a TV show next week to commemorate
The 50th anniversary of the Beatles first USA gig.
Its in America but we should get to see it.

My two least favourite Beatles, shame the best two have passed away.

I am a total Beatles nut, but I wish someone would tell Paul McCartney he can't sing anymore. It's bloody painful listening to him these days.

Coming from Liverpool I know quite a lot about Paul McCartney, probably why I never liked him.

I wish someone would tell Ringo Starr he can't play drums anymore.

I'm off to watch The Zombies, The Animals and The Yardbirds tomorrow night. I seem to remember hearing about them once (upon a time).
