It's not even worth commenting on

Said someone who commented.
Taken out of context.

That's a waste of another minute

It would be worth commenting on if it were your son/brother/father who was physically assaulted at work by a buffoon who thinks he is above things like the law.

Bet nobody of the 1 million plus who voted to save him would have done so had it been their relative or friend who was the victim of this act of bullying in the workplace.

But it wasn't anybody's relative on CBF.

His sacking was a forgone conclusion as the BBC had no choice but to observe the normal rules regarding employee conduct.

We can now look forward to a new "top Gear " which might just be about the cars rather Han the presenter

Another six minutes wasted ( I am a one fingered typist )

I remember when he was on Have I Got News For You.  He was annoyed with Ian Hislop and threw a pen at him. The pen pierced Hislop's face and made it bleed.
Apparently, Clarkson apologised to Ian Hislop after the programme.
I don't remember that being mentioned in Walter Citrine's "A.B.C. of Chairmanship" - the standard work on the subject.

Oh wasn't it? Let him stay on and bully people we don't know, that's fine.

A death threat has been made to the Director General.

And did Clarkson condemn the threats. No. ! His response was "to asked fans to show restraint".

Now I know the world has gone mad.  :(

No Jacqui, a "death threat" issued because someone is annoyed at the sacking of an overweight, pompous thug is not "just TV" it just shows how pathetic some of his "fans" are  >:( they really need to get a life.

They're just Keyboard Warriors who usually only type with one hand. But, the threat HAS to be taken seriously until it can be firmly established without doubt that it was just talk.

It's another sign of the times that personal protection services is a growing industry being fed by the cuts in funding to police forces. There's a huge market now for well trained Close Protection Officers (CPs).

Interesting though that the papers announced the 'top secret operation' to provide protection on their frontpages.
