When we lived in Ovacik the 2 mosques (orange and blue) were out of sync, used to drive me to distraction. Luckily for us  someone sorted it. Funny, its one of the things I miss about being there, the call to prayer.

In the 30 years we have been in the middle east I always check where they are before we get an apartment

Was it there when you bought your villa? Or is it a new addition? Either way I think you are stuck with it..

The OP sounds like one of those people who buys a house by an airport (because it's cheap) and then complains about the planes!

When we were in Ovacik we lived near the first mosque. I found the call to prayer a comfort. It was like a signal that all is well in the area.

I am not sure that I would like it if it was just outside my window.

I agree with JF that complaining will get you nowhere.

Ours is outside our bungalow and its one of the things I love about Turkey its part of Turkey I can tell the time by the  call to prayer. Sounds like the OP would buy a cottage in a village then moan about the church bells on a Sunday
