AT LAST we made it to Konya, and it's COLD!!!

Our first viewing of the sema ceremony last night, totally amazing. CASEY describes it very well

Konya is a really interesting place, worth a visit if you haven't been. Please read his blog, and thankyou again! Enjoy!!!

There have been a couple or more posts on Caseys blog since the first Sema Ritual post, the Mevlana blog, perhaps you might like to catch up with the journey. We are still in Konya and leave for Aksaray tomorrow and the Silk Road.

Tonight we should have been at the finale of the Mevlana Festival which is being held in the football stadium which is enormous.........

We heard at the beginning of the week that Erdogan would be attending.........

Then the bomb went off this morning, not a million miles away, in Kayseri.........

We had bought tickets for this evening well in advance, but we have chosen not to go.... I'm sure everything will be fine there, but it just seemed like common sense to play it safe.

What would you have done???
