The Turkey figure astounded me. Is it time to look at where our aid goes?

The UK spend 0.7% of its GDP on foreign financial aid, a figure agreed by the United Nations.

We could I suppose withdraw from the UN as well as the EU...

I'm not disputing that so stop inferring I am. Leaving the EU has nothing to do with this! - ! asked is it time to assess WHERE it ends up?

£3billion to Turkey since 2011 or am I misreading that?

Many other countries pledged foreign financial to the UN, then mislaid their cheque books. I think it's time to reassess what

we pay in, where it goes, and who really benefits from our generosity. Genuine need should be supported. Building palaces

for despots, funding PC schemes, political schemes, promoting traditional dancing around the globe, ect, ect should not.

Look at the pledges when natural disasters strike, then look at who actually pays up.India should look after its millions of

poor not it's space programmes. Thousands of UK citizens freeze to death each year through being unable to afford heating.

I know where I want my contributions spent.. !!!

I don't really know to which countries, and for what projects, I would want contributions paid. I am pretty sure though that, if I was allocated with the responsibility to sort this out, then, after months of research and deep consideration, if I actually came up with some decisions it would only be a few seconds before a whole bunch of people would leap up to tell me - loudly and at length - that they were utterly wrong!
