Arriving at Dalaman Airport
« on: August 26, 2019, 16:09:15 PM »
Me Again, Sorry forgot to ask how are things at Dalaman airport re bringing in some food and bottles. Someone posted on Facebook that everybody’s luggage was being checked before you left the airport, and if anything found was given hefty fine! Is this true...

You say 'some food'. What food are you thinking of bringing in to Turkey ?

Given that it's illegal to import meat or dairy produce into Turkey you need to ask yourself if you feel lucky.   :)

It’s just a lot of people I know seem to do it, don’t understand why it’s illegal though, they seem to be clamping down on loads of things now. We have been to various parts of Turkey for the last 20 years, so just wondered what I can and cannot bring with me. I will look at your link KKOB, THANK FOR YOUR REPLY!

Most countries, the UK included, have the same restrictions in place.

Just because a lot of people you know seem to do it, it doesn't make it right.
