A new firm starts travel from from Fethiye to Rhodes. Their boat seems much better than the the hydrofil ramshackle.

I think "külüstür" is the word. But you can also use "hurda" (junk) or "konserve tenekesi" (canned tin) for that boatish thing :)

Had a look at website and I dont think it is much use for a day trip. Unless I have read it wrong the boat leaves Fethiye at 15.00 arrives at Rhodes at 16.50 then leaves again for Fethiye at 17.00. Not enough time for a beer.

You've read it wrong.
Departs Fethiye in the morning returning early evening from Rhodes.
I noticed there was no availability for July, August and September, with only three days available in October. Very curious.

It leaves Rhodes at 17.00 and arrives in Fethiye at 18.50
More than enough time for a beer.

It's actually a better deal for a day trip than the previous boat. You get longer in Rhodes...

The journey with other boat hydrofoil may take 3.5 hours. Depending on how wavy the sea is.

Is the service reliable? I am thinking about booking flight home from Rhodes and travelling across on day of flight as it does not leave until early evening.

Travelled on this boat (a catamaran) service last Sunday to Rhodes at a cost of only £35 return.. It left Fethiye at 8.30am arriving at 9.45am and leaving again at 5pm, a good journey as the boat is large with a seating capacity of 336...problem being thou the total number of passengers for the round trip only came to about 25 people so how long is that sustainable?.

Probably a bad day to judge it Woody, I've usually traveled mid week & there's been a lot of Turkish ladies on board, obviously going to Rhodes on shopping missions. Last Sunday was election day, so that's likely to be the reason for it being so quiet

Hi Cenk, much thanks for asking, but as a Fethiye/calis newb here, could you elaborate? Is this main jetty along the strip were all the day trip boats leave from (Also where the water taxi operates from)? or is it further on down? As per picture?

You need to go past the amphitheatre to the Harbour (signposted Liman) and then you'll see the ferry departure point.

Thanks for your time Cenk, much Appreciated. I think this maybe a thing for myself and Mrs wasp0. Been to Rhodes in my Navy Days and be nice to have a look round the old town again.

Think this is the ferry that Tilos travel operate? So to book, you can go to the office next to Macdonalds in Fethiye. Maybe ask if they do a pick up service in the morning to take you to the pier to join the boat. By the way, might need to show passports to book the trip, so take them with you.
