Sat bar bookin
« on: July 25, 2018, 19:22:20 PM »
Hello dear people,
As mentioned, back in Calis on Sunday  :)
Last time we were there we went to the Sat beach bar and wanted to eat in the evening on the end of the restaurant part, but were told one had to book even though it was rather empty!
Does anyone know if one still has to book in advance? Or can we just roll up?
Thanks
Lou

Sat has had really bad reviews recently.
Make sure you read them before booking a table

Has the Sat had bad reviews "recently" or is it still suffering from the pretty poor reputation it managed to get a few years back ?

Just asking........

We went in May, there was a table if 10 and another couple of tables with 2 people at them. There were 4 of us and a toddler. The service was shambolic the food took ages to come, well over an hour. The obviously couldn’t cope with the large table. The food when it came was nice.

Just don't get it, that place should be a goldmine!  It has a prime spot, it has nice seating and tables, a view to die for, but they just don't seem to be able to get it right.  We've given up trying now, having gone year after year in the hope that the food and/or service would improve, but sadly it didn't.  I'd still go for a beer and a sit for half an  hour but that's about it.  What a shame.

Couldn't agree more Shelli and I am sure most of the regulars on here would echo your sentiments. It just shows how out of touch these owners/managers are.
