There are things that I simply cannot NOT do
« on: March 09, 2014, 22:08:28 PM »
Is that a double negative. Colwyn, and others, may enlighten me. But no matter, back to the topic.

No matter how hard I try, there are things which I simply cannot NOT do.

For example...... I cannot bring myself to add more cold water after I have got into the bath no matter how hot (probably dangerously so) the water is.

Am I alone (if yes, then please ignore this post rather than reply "yes" )  :)

I can not help interfering in the kitchen on the rare occasion Carole is cooking, I have to check the oven temp, or stir something on the hob.

Interesting you should mention a double negative, today I learnt that in Russia a double negative remains a negative! Also nowhere in the world a double positive makes a negative! yeah right!   ;)
