I think there should be a new law: that the laws should be enforced.

There is a law that bans using a mobile phone while driving but 95% of Turkish drivers I see are talking or sending text messages on their phone while driving cars and motorbikes.

This is far worse and more dangerous than smoking imo and there is no evidence to suggest it is enforced so I doubt if not smoking while driving will be either.

Took the words out of my mother Nichola - they are the biggest culprits - I encounter them almost daily - you can tell who they are because they're driving at 10 mph.  I met a man n van coming out of a junction the other day - straight out - didn't look - rabbiting on his phone!  I had to pull up just in time.  I didn't swear!  >:(

I met the same fella a few years ago in my truck on the main road in Ovacik. Took the front clean off his car. The Jandarma were well impressed that I managed to avoid the dolmus that was coming in the opposite direction, and, after both of us being breathalysed, he was marched off in handcuffs and I carried-on to the market.   ;)

Bull-bars eh? Don't ya just love 'em!

Do you think it's the sun that affects their brains?
