4 flights on very specific dates in Scottish school holidays (July 2017) £778 from Edinburgh. Booked at 06:46. Right now (07:20) £1156. (all plus bags).

More than happy with that - saves a drive to Manchester (which at time of booking was only £120 cheaper overall)

I was hoping to book my friend's flights as she is at work, they are having a famiily holiday for 15 and have hired a villa in uzumlu, because they have to go in school hols prices not that cheap, yet two weeks earlier the prices were great...soo glad i no longer work in education and have to pay the scandulous school holiday prices...
Thats great Keith you got a good deal   :)

I just booked for six of us to fly from Manchester to Dalaman end of July 2017.  Flight out was £102.49 per person and the return flight was £174.99 per person.  We're happy with those prices.

It definitely pays to set the alarm for 6.45 doesn't it Keith. Interesting what you say about the website compared to the app. I always use the app as all my info is saved and it's all done in a few dabs. Not even time for Easyjet to increase the price mid booking, as they did to me last time.   ;)

£525 for two of us - £60 cheaper than Monarch for similar dates - but from Manchester and not Leeds. Add in petrol and 5 weeks parking and Leeds wins hands down.

No Gatwick prices for us up here :(

I will wait for our Tesco vouchers and see what Monarch are like in the new year.

The wink shows that it was a warm, tongue in cheek non-confrontational comment. And jamesuk's response suggests it was received in the manner it was offered.

But I'm all for a ban if I've broken any rules  ;)

Would you accept a challenge ?   :)

If I email you our dates would you post "plenty" of cheap deals.

Of course I wouldn't.  They're all gone now on EasyJet.

My observation was more general...  every time there is a post about cheap flights you always post a pretty negative response.

So a few flights on Easyjet, on a day when I may or not have been able to log on, are what you consider to be "plenty".

Or perhaps you can direct my elsewhere to get a cheap deal.

Exactly! Our friends booked Monarch/Gatwick with all the baggage and seats for £150 each a couple of months back. Same time, same dates from Leeds £525. Now £582.

I was on EJ early and it was over £520 for us from Manc.

South has much more to chose from.

I have come to the conclusion  that we will never have cheap flights in Scotland, so we have to live with that. However, I would not want to move back to England now and definitely not London just to get cheap flights.
I love living in Scotland and on reflection paying more for flights is a small price to pay for the life we live here in Scotlland.

Totally agree about living here Jacqui but it is irksome being repeatedly told there are plenty of cheap flights when as far as I can see that isn't the case. :(

Moving to London in order to benefit from cheap flights is economic nonsense

Certainly is, We would probably get a boxroom in London, for what we would get for our house.
