Title: Unlocked MIFI
Post by: Janette Din on June 20, 2016, 21:19:11 PM: I realise that there is lots of useful information about the turkcell MIFI. If i bring an unlocked sim free MIFI from the UK can i buy a data sim that will work in it? we will be staying at Lissa Links in Calis Beach so if so where would the nearest Place be to buy the SIM?

Post by: Somerset Simon on June 21, 2016, 08:25:34 AM: You will have the same issue as bringing a non Turkish mobile and using a Turkish sim, it will be cut off after a period of time as Turkish tax hasn't been paid on the mobile device, but it can take several weeks or longer. For the price of the data sim it is worth the chance for a couple weeks!

I seem to recall that the "grace" period for non Turkish handsets used with Turkish SIMs was increased to 120 days sometime round about October last year. Cant remember where I read it but fairly sure it was an official publication.

Hi Jan,

2 weeks ago it was 91TL for 15GB from the Turkcell shop in Çaliş. Expires arter 3 months.

There is a small Turkcell shop near (before on the right hand side) the Kipa in Calis, I used to buy my data there
