Best place for a new tv
« on: March 02, 2014, 16:54:02 PM »
We have decided to upgrade our tv to a 36 - 40 inch flat screen model, possibly with built in free view and DVD player. Firstly is it possible to get such a thing, and secondly can anybody recommend the best place in Fethiye to buy one!. We would also need them to come and fit and connect everything up for us.  Thank you!

Don't know if there's anything bigger out there now, but a couple of years ago, the largest TV with built in DVD was only a little larger than a portable. Got it at Beko on the back road, but checked out all the elecrtical shops & supermarkets first

Having just moved here I bought a 55in tv from Teknosa store next to the bus station. they were really helpful and set up everything for me. I am delighted!

If you buy a largish tv with inbuilt DVD facility and this becomes faulty, it's a pain to take in to have it looked at. Better to buy a separate Blue Ray player, not too expensive and better picture and sound all round.

I have found that the best place for a TV has been the sideboard.  I learnt a lot from my father about TV engineering during the early sixties.  If adjustment for the set was required, you applied it with a swift clout to either the side or the top of said TV, depending if the image and lines were going up or down.  I learnt well, knowing just how much clout and where to apply it to when the TV 'played up again' that I became responsible for all those adjustments during family viewing that father could retire from said adjustment duties and simply tell me to do it.  This was of course the ealiest proto type of remote control for the TV as I could also change the channel too.  Mind you there was only two of them.  :)

+1 for Gold, they had the best prices, but it didn't stop me having a good wander around Teknosa who have a huge showroom with lots of TVs up and running.
