Hi there i cant use my mobile in turkey unless i dial lots of numbers in first texts OK I'm with vodafone, so now i have just bought Turkish sim card and put in old phone so much easier as far as i know its only vodafone that does this .

lance you will still have to pay 5 ytl for regesting at turkcell
its the phones from abroad which need it not the sim
hope it makes sense
