Kassaba (ex Harem)

6 of us had fish and chips there for lunch last week, lovely crispy batter and tasty fish.
The service was very quick.
There were only 5 large chips each though, apart from 1 person, who had 8. They were delicious but definitely needed more, so we mentioned it and they brought a large bowl full almost straight away.

I'm glad you mentioned the excellent chips, Kayakebab. Kassaba was not fully opened in the early part of the season and four of us had called in for a drink.
They hadn't as yet drawn up their menu for the season
Mete sent over a plate of chips for us to sample. We obviously looked like serious gourmets specializing in the delights of the humble chip. They were excellent.
A few days later--- same situation and again we were asked to sample another plate but this time a different variety of potato---equally excellent..
We ate there about 6 times and each time we were not disappointed--we paid of course.
(I trust my objectivity has not been compromised by these freebie frites)
Brian
