Having only last week posted about the Starfish Restaurant being under new management, I am very sorry to inform you that this is no longer the case. Due to irreconcilable management differences, Recep Bostan has decided to leave the business.
I will not go into any details on this forum but anyone who has been there recently will know how hard Recep has worked to get things up and running and so will appreciate this decision has not been made lightly. Anyone who knows me are quite welcome to ask and I will give an honest reply in private.
It is still a wonderful location, and I hope people will still continue to go and take advantage of the wonderful beach, but felt it polite to inform all our friends that Recep is no longer there. My apologies.

I took people there today and when I asked where Recep was, "he has gone to town" was the reply. It's very sad as I personally thought it has huge potential down there. Good luck Recep with whatever you decide in the future.

Yes we went  there Saturday evening, no sign of Recep, the meal was OK,
And the settingwas lovely,

Thanks for letting us know. I'm glad we didn't go yesterday as planned now. When we went last year we liked the location as I said in the other post but we didn't feel inspired to eat there.

I thought Recep had taken the place on and I'm sorry to hear that's not the case.

I have a feeling this place has a long history of this? Whoever is the owner/responsible for renting it out must be a real nightmare to try and do business with.

yes, a shame as in such a stunning location. It will no doubt continue to chug along, but I fear it will never be quite what it could be while certain people are there lacking any real drive or determination ( or sense even...). Thank you for your kind wishes Nichola x

Typically Turkish mentality, some one starts to make a good go of things.......

Recep has a good following and he will surface again somewhere soon I'm sure and I for one am looking forward to it.

Went on Sunday for Turkish Brekkie,did comment to "her who must be obeyed" it was strange that Recep was nowhere around.
