As far as I remember, you need passports and copy of them, Residence permit books and copies of relevant pages, i.e. first page with photo and page showing expiry dates etc. If a married couple then a notorised translation of your marriage certificate. We also took our copies of our nufus forms (registration of address).  If you look back on the extensive SGK threads on here you should be able to find more information.  It's not difficult to do on your own. BTW are you aware that the SGK office has now relocated to 561 Sokak, round the road  just past Zakkums going from Calis.

Hubby and I tried to apply for SGK this morning but as of 1st May new rules apply.  You now have to have several health checks accompanied by specialist reports and these checks have to be done at the devlet as they will not accept them from any other source. Only when you have completed the relevant health check will they accept your application and you are not guaranteed to be put on the scheme if they are not happy with the results. It would appear they only want you on there if there confident you are not going to claim.

I was talking with a friend at the weekend who has decided to sell up, when I enquired " why " she said, I'm becoming tired of having to work so hard to give Turkey my money

This looks like yet another example.

We thought long and hard about joining,  weighing up the pros and cons and deceided it was the sensible thing to do to especially with the new residency rules which come into force next year,  as any residence renewals you will have to have health insurance.
