Hi. I've just joined the forum. I've been living in Ovaçik since April this year with my Turkish boyfriend. Its taken a while to settle down but now I have I'd really like to meet other expats living in Ovaçik. As you can probably tell from my user name I'm into yoga and have recently qualified as a yoga teacher.  I'm also qualified to practice indian head massage and reiki.  I enjoy watching most sports and like a good meal with a drink or 2! I look forward to meeting some friends via this forum and to learning the ropes for living in Turkey. I'm going to register for the Turkish lessons in Ovaçik too!
Tracy

Hi Tracy, like you we have just signed up to the forum, it is really useful and informative.

We have just purchased an apartment in Ovacik and are flying out on the 13/11/09 to sort all admin out so we are looking forward to longer happy holidays with an eventual plan for longer stays.

Good luck.

Thank you all for your words of welcome.
Dempava I'm going along to register for the turkish course tomorrow. Have they been started long? I'm ashamed to say that even with a Turkish boyfriend my knowledge of the language is poor!

Tomorrow will only be our third lesson so you will soon catch up. The course is at The old school oposite the Mosque. Is that where you mean to go? If so see you at 1 o'clock.

Hi Tracy, welcome to the forum

We appear to have a good deal in common ...... I often feel the need of a good head massage after a session on the raki, and yoghurt helps settle the tum  ;)

Good luck with the Turkish lessons
