Sorry Dave I don't know but wait a bit I know someone will answer you soon.
I have a question on this subjet. Has anyone tried Rosetta Stones Turkish Language Course. It's expensive but is it worth it? I am learning Turkish I understand the tenses, vowel harmoney and the structure of sentences. I can make conversation but I want to improve so your advise re Rosetta Stone may help me. Thanks guys.

I can't get through on this number, getting a msg to say "sorry, prepay customers can not call this number". Am I doing something wrong or is there another bit of dial code I should be using?

If you are calling from a mobile you need to use the area code (0252).
I might be wrong but these conversational Turkish lessons held in bars or restaurants are a complete waste of time in my opinion. For the time invested you might be 2 or 3 words a week better off. 20 or 30 people repeating "gun aydin" and learning that table is masa for hours on end won't help much. I'd recommend 'proper' lessons.

You could well be right Scunner, but I just thought that I'd give it a go.If it's no good then I'll have only wasted a few bob.

Does anyone have Rosetta Stone level 2 and or 3 they would like to sell please?

I have found a "proper" school type language course starting Monday 7 Dec in Fethiye.
It is on twice a week, beginner level on Mon & Thurs from 10:00 until 12:10 & is a certificated course for anyone wanting to apply for citizenship.
Total cost about 380TL.
E-mail me for teachers contact details through my profile.
-
380 Lira! how many lessons is that Dave?
-
twice a week from monday 7 dec until 14 April. She says it is 100 hours in total.
3.8 TL an hour = one Efes per hour. Even Englishmen normally drink more than that! lol!!!
-
I make it 74 hours:D
-
Apparently it is "100 school hours which I think means school periods, of 40 mins each. S0 it is 3 x 40 min periods on Mondays & same on Thursdays for 4 months.
Starts Monday 7 December finishes 15 April 2010.
Teachers name is "Isil" mobile 05445281556.
