Title: United did really well but Fellaini...
Post by: Ian on April 01, 2014, 21:39:10 PM
Why does he persist with a player whose confidence, touch, awareness, sharpness are clearly shot to pieces?

Consequently with 10 men that was an even better result!

Totally agree with you Ian - never has been and never will be a United player. He should be sold now whilst he's still worth something!

I couldn't believe how many times he gave the ball away and "lost" headers he should have won. It made it so much harder for the team.

It was a great atmosphere - the crowd were brilliant and the team were disciplined - Wellbeck typified the team and ran his heart out!

Who knows they might just surprise us in the second leg and we should all be cheering for them no matter what our usual allegiances :-)

My sentiments exactly, he never will be a United player, at least not of the Manchester type.  >:(

Very disappointing since his move - the ironic cheers on the couple of occasions he actually did something right told the story. Sadly he personifies everything that has been going wrong there, and he is Moyes's purchase :o

He was a panic buy because there was little time left and no choice.  He does not fit into the way M.U. play and I see him not lasting long.  I remember Moyes wanting Leighton Baines too, but he would not go.

On a brighter note, this match proves that Liverpool F.C. are better than B.Munich  ;D  ;)

"Man United hold Bayern at Old Trafford"

Says it all.

A little bit unfair Stoop - they are a class act (Bayern).

I seem to remember you struggled to hold Doncaster at home recently? :-)

Not talking about Leeds though are we? We are talking about our Premier League Champions who are £600m in debt and have a manager who I wouldn't even want at Leeds to be honest.

For your info - we couldn't 'hold' Charlton last night either :(

In the past 2 seasons these are just some of the clubs who have failed to "hold" Bayern at home:

Barcelona
Man City
Juventus
Arsenal

A 1-1 is a good result especially as they could have won it based on real chances - you are letting your Leeds Utd emotions show :-)

PS I don't think Utd  have any chance in Germany but I will still be cheering for them because they are playing in Germany :-)

If playing the majority of the game with nearly all the players in defence is what you Manure fans call football God Help Us. Arjen Robben got it spot on when he said it was like playing handball. Moyes didn't
have a clue at Everton and he hasn't changed because he can't.
Only decent player was Wellbank, As for Rooney totally over rated.

Wellbank represents the Monetary Organisation that look after Wayne Rooney's wages. ;D  ;)    They are a very Wellbank at £300,000 coming in per week.  ;D  ;)

Us Liverpool people have a great sense of humour, however, Scottish people living  down the south of England supporting Northern English teams they have no affiliation with always have a humour bypass.   :D :D
