Title: Current Rules on Registering a UK Phone

A friend of ours has brought a Turkish friend of ours a UK handset - iPhone - and he has asked us to register it for him.

I know about taking it to the tax office and then Turkcell (or wherever) and only being able to register one device every so often, but I can't remember if there is anything else - like it having to be done within a certain time period after entering the country, and whether this is 30 days, 60 days or whatever. (In which case it would mean we can't help.)

Can anyone more intelligent and up-to-date than me help?

28 days from entering the country.
