Title: In the wilderness for four days.
Post by: DonM on March 27, 2020, 17:37:30 PM
I was in the wilderness for four days with no internet. It cost me £100 have the virus removed, have widows ten and Kaspersky installed.

That was bad enough then one of my credit cards was compromised, luckily the card was cancelled very quickly and no damage was done.

We are coping with the virus as best we can. We manage a walk each day and manage to buy the essentials as we are out. We have tried for a home delivery but the system is overwhelmed.

We are lucky than most, we can't stand in queues but we walk and visit the supermarket about midday with our backpacks, up to now we have managed to get food no always what we wanted but we are surviving.

It reminds me of the war when you queued for everything except we did not stand two metres apart.

I fear for my holiday to Fetheyi in November, I live in hope.

Stay safe.

DonM

PS. I'm struggling with widows ten as my computing skills are pretty grim.

Don,

I'm sure there a plenty of people who would be more than willing to pay £100 to have a virus removed at the moment.

On a serious note, glad to hear you are coping well.

Keep smiling.

Ian

have widows ten and ..... I'm struggling with widows ten

You should ask someone to take 8 or 9 of those widows off your hands. They must be giving you earache.  ;)

Not too bad if the £100 included Windows 10 Don. It takes a bit of getting used to but it is quite good once you get there.

Stay safe mate.

Don: If you are struggling with W10 there is a program that is free to download & very easy to set up, this then mimics older versions of Windows so everything is as you were used to, no tiles etc.

The program is called Classic Shell & is available here: http://www.classicshell.net/
