I remember watching Turkish men at the cafe on Olu Denis beach when topless ladiees came up to get served.  That would scare anyone into covering up. :-\ :-\ :-\

I would definatley wear a vest when walking around, its horrible the way some of the turkish men look at you! I remember telling a 14 year old to put a vest on over the top of her bikini because they same staring at her(she was only 14)how sick!!

And also i dont like looking a hairy chests and over weight bodies when im out eating,by the pool and on the beach is fine!!

No Turkish men look at me when I'm topless [:o]

There is infinite choice in Calis - I personally don't like to see beer bellies as I eat, but it is the choice of the belly beholder (as said, on their hard earned hols) to do so where they are allowed to, and the establishment to decide their own dress code.

If restaurants don't mind, and you do, go to one of the others!

It is definitely not a Turkish thing.

When fit women in bikinis walk past our office, I don't look away, and I was born in Luton lol

I agree it is a man thing.  Us ladies would never get caught looking at fit young men ;): :) ;)That is why sunglasses were invented:D
My point is having some respect for the culture of the people whose country you are visiting.

I totally agree that it is only courteous to other diners to cover up in the evenings.  I for one would be put off with some fat guy with a beer belly hanging over the table next to me.  However should Brad Pitt wish to arrive and strip off I am not sure I would object too much, likewise I am sure the men would not object to Kylie sitting there in her bikini!  Joking aside I feel the restaurants could be more strict with dress code however they are just trying to make some money and a customer is a customer.
