If you're getting a bit bored with the usual 2 or 3 hours wandering around the harbour and having a meal in one of the expensive cafes, have a go at climbing the 400 steps to the plateau behind the village. You'll get a new perspective on the layout of the village.

If you want a slightly less strenuous walk, take the road to the right and go up past the Greek Army's Garrison and continue on up the hill to the airport.

If anyone's interested, Mrs KKOB and I are off to Meis around the 20th November and we're hiring a car. If you'd like to join us and contribute a bit towards the fuel, you'd be welcome.

Or walk around the headland  to Mandraki harbour, much quieter, away from the day trippers and only one bar!

Yes, Mandraki Harbour's great if you fancy having a swim while you're over there.

Throws a whole new perspective on the island of Meis. It seems so different to the views you get at sea level.
