Waterboys use the poetry of WB Yeats
« on: October 26, 2011, 10:24:16 AM »
If you, as I, enjoy the work of Mike Scott and his band The Waterboys, they have recently released an album with a different concept, it is called An Appointment With Mr. Yeats.

Mike Scott, who's lyrical genius has often been compared to the poetry of WB Yeats (obviously inspirational), has taken the Irish poet's verse and using his musical talent forged them into a whole new album of songs.

An interesting and different concept, with a very enjoyable result.

Here's a little more information from an interview with Mike Scott.

P.S. The band are on Later...With Jools Holland Friday 28/10 @ 23.30
