If you live out there I'm sure it would be worth while. If it's just for holiday times then forget it as you will not be able to store the electricity.
However - if you can make sure your meter stays the old wheel type then it will run backwards when you produce more than you are using - then when you go on holiday you will be using 'stored' electricity. Usually the companies change the meter as soon as you have solar fitted though
You also might end up in jail if it's deemed as steeling from the electricity supplier
