Yes, or maybe no, perhaps  if he was feeling like it, perhaps if he had a pain in his bum...who knows.  He probably thought two penalties might be too much for his least favourite team.. Whatever, there is no redress in line for him, so why should he care??

Would video technology have got Gerrard sent of yesterday? I suspect not as most of the supporters for video technology only want it applied for very restricted scenarios 'in game' like penalty incidents, not for all unclear, unseen or dubious incidents that the ref may or not spot.  You either apply it to all incidents or none, otherwise what is the point?

two awful games by Webb has cost us bad this season, no penalty against Chelsea (against suarez) and not sending Eto off, was as bad as Sundays effort.

On the plus side the consensus seems to be that Liverpool were the better side, twice as many shots, more possession, if we keep playing like that away from home home against the big sides the results will come

also Martin Skrtel has been cuddling forwards all season and we've not given away one penalty for it, so swings and roundabouts

12 cup ties, bring it on

Possibly - but Man Utd winning the Champions League (very easy draw next round and then anything could happen) could really cost you if you now finish 4th ???
