Having been To The Istanbul I totally agree with you Jacqui.. Definatley not a venue for children on the entertainment nights...There are more suitable places to go with children...

We have been twice recently children there both times happy to listen to the music. When my son and his wife come over with my grandson, I will post on here to let some of you know which restaurants we will be visiting each night so as not to spoil your holiday. The Istanbul will be one of them, but so as not to offend anyone by keeping a child out late (even on holiday) I will drive there and if Jensen makes a murmer I will bundle him back in the car and take him home.
Perish the thought of families having the right to go on holiday and enjoy a night out!!!!
here is a picture of the offending child to keep an eye out for.
As you can see he does not shop at Marks and sparks and  likes heavy rock.

Unfortunately not all children are as well behaved as yours Mark and are not happy to sit and listen to the music.   Most of us have grandchildren and take them out later than we would in The UK. There are many places which are more suitable than this venue... It is just personal opinion concerning just this particular night out....

Come on folks lets drop the attitude and bickering.

The Saturday night shows at the Istanbul Restaurant aren't "Adults Only" in the sense that kids aren't allowed.

If anyone wants to take their kids Engin and his staff will welcome them and their children.

Whether or not the kids enjoy the night will depend on the individual kids and, I guess, their upbringing.

If the adults want to go because it's their sort of thing, why not. It could well be that at the same time it's not their kids sort of thing. And what kids do when it's not their thing is run around and make their own entertainment. Big deal! Anyone died yet? No? Panic over.
