Man City V WBA... What a lot of money.
« on: April 21, 2014, 20:30:13 PM »
We have got the match on at the moment and just heard that there are only a few WBA fans at the match. They are staying away as a protest as M.City are charging £50.00 a ticket.   Scary to think just how much it is costing fans these days to watch a match. >:( :o :(

Sign if the times. Liverpool are charging Chelsea supporters £48. Sold out their allocation as well!

Agree Stoop. If the fans want the best stadiums and the best players and best managers in the world it costs money. If you cannot afford it then you become like millions of others...armchair fans.
What would we do without live football on the box. Eventually only the well off will be able to afford to go to watch a live game. Sad but true.

We were in Leeds shopping yesterday and I talked the wife into going to the Leeds game. Then I realised she would want a decent seat, a drink, maybe something to eat and I decided at £70 for two tickets, £10 for drinks, £10 for a couple of burgers and £6 for parking it was cheaper to keep her shopping!

And how long does a Man City star have to work to earn that £50?

It doesn't bother me what players earn as long as they show on the pitch that they are 100% committed
to the club and show it on the pitch. What really weees me off is when I read about how they act away from the club they play for. When I read how they are involved in night club fights..getting weeed out of their heads and drive their 100 grand cars..get caught and get away with a slap on the wrist...because they have a grand an hour mouth piece representing them.In other words the money has gone to their heads.

But, Man City do have the cheapest season tickets in the Premier league.....

(I'm not a city fan by the way)
